This page contains information about how The Last Cycle handles information which relates to our end users privacy.
Browser Headers
As with most websites, we have some traffic analysis to optimize our site for search engines, optimize for browser support, locate particularly popular pages and so on. Some of these traffic analysis will track the referrer given by your browser header. That means if you followed a link to The Last Cycle it may show in our stats which site you were linked from. If you wish to stop sending this information to sites you visit, go to your browser's official website to find out how to stop sending header information, alternatively find a browser which does not send headers.
Anonymity by Name
If you want your name to be concealed, simply do not use it. Use a pseudonym instead when registering. If you are currently using your real name as your log-in name, feel free to contact the super administrators of The Last Cycle to change it.
User Data
The user data you provide is visible to other members and search engines. If you wish these details to be hidden, simply do not provide them. Keep in mind that this does not only entail the user profile you have here, but also your posts. Deleting posts may be allowed, but this is no guarantee for anonymity, since we have search engine spiders crawling The Last Cycle several times a day. These search engines may cache the results they find as they please.
IP
When you post on The Last Cycle, your IP address is stored as a security measure. Abuse is also recorded with IP details. IP details are never made public unless law enforcement makes this compulsory, but are stored in our raw logs and in our database.
Passwords
Your identity is secured with the password. We strongly urge our users to select strong passwords and not to share them so no identity theft can take place. Strong passwords should consist of a mixture of numbers, uppercase letters and lowercase letters. For example, "member" is a weak password while "m3MB3r" is a strong password.
Security Information
The Last Cycle does not give any guarantee against unauthorized access to any information you wish to provide. The Last Cycle super administrators as well as host and server administrators have access to all data stored on The Last Cycle. Therefore, you should not consider any information submitted on The Last Cycle as private or secret.
E-Mail
The Last Cycle can use e-mails to remind users of their passwords, for registeration verification and also for newsletters. You may chose to hide your e-mail address from the public user profile by editing it and selecting the option to not make it viewable by other members. If you enter your e-mail in a post or other part of The Last Cycle than the profile, it may also be viewable by others.
