Alex Winston 2 - H(a)unted
You wake up by the cold. The sun shines brightly trough the curtains, it is about early noon, and during sleep, you digged deeper into the
blankets.
Nevertheless, your body is shivering of cold and your breath appears as a small misty cloud in front of your face. Something must have gone wrong with
the air-conditioning system.
Hurriedly, you start to massage warmth and life back into your aching members.

God dammit.. Alex wasn't particularly fond of cold mornings. The chilling air always seemed to prevent his body from properly waking up, some sort of
fucked up side-effect that appeared without an actuall source.
There was no helping it, Alex had to get out of bed this instant.. Surely the police had failed to realize that their beloved victim was dead in the
freezer of the person next to her house, but it wouldn't take them long to start sniffing around.. in wich case Alex would prefer to be somewhere
else.
Jumping out of bed, Alex took a quick warm shower to wake his body up from the cold comfortless slumber it was currently in, and got dressed shortly
afterwards.
He intended to leave, but wanted to check the freezer before he left to see the current condition of the corpse.. The symbolic condition expected from
the corpse would serve as a rather "Hah! that's so much worse than my current chilness!"-cheer up.
After checking the freezer he would exit trough the garage, not that he expected to find a car there.. but enough fucked up shit had happened the past
days and he wouldn't excactly be suprised if such a thing was there... Some good luck wouldn't hurt from time to time.
If no car or objects of interest was to be found, he would simply leave the house and stroll down the road to the left (if one was to look from the
house towards the road) until anything of interest showed up.. At the same time he kept an eye out for any car with their keys still in the ignition,
perhaps he got lucky.

Well that was rather awesome!! One less thing to worry about!
Alex was tired of being a giant questionmark due to the freaky freaky happenings that had taken place lately.. So he had now chosen to completely
ignore them and just accept that he himself might be insane, wich was ok..
He continued walking down the road.

It is a nice, shiny day, only a few sheepy-white clouds in the sky and comfortable temperature. Somewhere you hear the sound of a mowing machine, and
to your both sides the clean street with the little, nice houses expands seemingly endless. Only few people are outside, and only a few cars are
standing on the sidewalk. Peaceful and boring.
There is a police car standing in front of the house you visited yesterday. A fat sweating guy is sitting in front of the driver's seat, drinking
coke and a Mc Donald's bag in front of him. He does not really pay you attention but for a short look before taking another coke sip.
You keep walking, but no "just take me" cars as far as you can tell. At the 5th or something, you even shortly try to open it - closed.

There was but one simple solution left, Alex refused to WALK trough this BORING place... And thus he walked back to the police car and tapped lightly
on the window.
When/If the police man opened up the window/door, Alex would greet him cheerfully and say "Hello, I'm sorry to disturb you but i tought i should
make you aware of the fact that someone's trying to break into that house from the other side!", pointing at the now deceased old woman's house.
When/If the police man reacted by running up to the house, Alex would steal his car and drive away cheerfully.

He turns down the window slightly annoyed and listens.
"You sure, boy?"
Then he gets his walkie-talkie and asks.
"Hey, Winston, everything ok back there? Got a redneck here telling there's a burglar."
He does not seem to eager to move or take you serious, but he is busy to clean his legs from the rests of the Mac food...
"Everything's quiet" phones the answer.
"See?"

Winston!? What the hell!? And why was the cop calling him a redneck? He certanly was no redneck!
"Oh! You know mr Winston? I'm a good friend of his father! Could you ask him to come down here? I would like to have a word with him regarding the
death of his mother.." Alex improvised, not knowing what was going on, it was hard to play a pokerface under theese circumstances.

He adds and starts to clean up the meal and prepares to leave the engine.

Alex scans for possible escape routes. should the unknown mr Winston reckognize him as the one who's been subject to chase for a while he would have
no choice but to get out of there in a hurry.. He was confident he could take out two guys, but he had no idea what this new guy was capable of.. and
if he really was a Winston, it could be quite a lot!
All in good time however, Alex waited patiently.. Keeping an eye on the cop, noting opportunities of grabbing his gun, stealing the keys to the car,
knocking him out, breaking his arm, etc etc...

As last possibility you could try to make your way trough the landscape of gardens, at least they will not be able to follow you by car then, and for
the guy in front of you, you doubt he would even be able to jump the first two fences without breaking down.
He steps out of the car when you give him some space and continues cleaning his clothes outside. From time to time, he scans you out of the corner of
hiy eye, clearly not feeling too confident about your appearance. If you want to try something, then now, before his partner shows up.
Glancing at the house, you can tell he is not seen yet.

Winston finally turns around the corner of the house and slowly walks into your direction trough the garden. He is almost as broad as you but a full
head smaller, a blonde moustache and military-short hair frame his stern face. He for sure seems not worried or anything when giving you a short scan
while approaching. You immediately recognize him as bigger threat and more a real cop then the one in front of you. At least, something like a cop in
better physical condition.
"Hey...what's up, commoner?"

he was a cop he wasn't comfortable with asking him what was going on.. thus he had to improvise yet again.

The hit makes Winston stumble back a step, shouting out loudly in a mixture of surprise and pain. The fat one loosens his gun and stays remarkably
cool when adressing you, scanning for any further attack sign.
"Ok, weirdo, thats it, disengage and to the ground or you'll regret it!"
The Winston holds his face, anger in his eyes. They do not seem to be joking, now less then before...

Alex immidiatly goes for the fat guy's gun, attempting to knock it out of his hands and possibly grabbing it himself in the proccess if he had enough
controll during that action.
If he grabbed the gun: He'd turn towards the second Winston, aiming at him with the gun. "My name IS Alex Winston, you're gonna tell me who the
hell you are and why i've never heard of you even tough your last name is the same as mine!"
If he didn't grab the gun but the cop still lost it: The same action, just without the whole aiming with a gun-thingy.
If the cop didn't drop the gun: He would say the same WHILE attempting to knock the fat cop unconcious trough a well-placed punch.
(Not gonna use any hp's at this, just in case you felt like asking)

The fat one simply evades your punch with unsuspected agility. Then a sharp pain explodes in your right leg, a little above the knee, and you almost
fall down when it suddenly stops to bear your body weight. Then, only then, you hear the loud bang of the shot.
Fat one keeps like dancing away from you, any chance to grab him gone with the pulsing, bloody mess of your thigh. You wonder a little about the
intense, chemical smell of apples attacking your nostrils instead of the well known, delighting copper of blood.
Winston makes his beating stick ready and approaches you.
"Oh boy, that stupid, this is gonna hurt now..."

"Can we tolerate that?" Male, dark voice, rational and calm
"Kill, kill, kill, kill, get the gun, kill..." Sounds like you

Winston saw the easiest way out, and took it. Faking a more severe reaction to the gunshot, he started screaming in pain "Oh god!! you shot me!! you
shot me!!! OH MY GO-.." then he faked a fainting to avoid getting beat up.
He figured they would probably arrest him, but at least he'd get some answers.

you on hands and - uncaring and hurting like hell - feet and raise you above the floor. Seems like they intend to bring you back into the house...what
the fuck...
Still apples, still the voices, almost drowning the heavy gasping of the cops carrying you.
"Pretty smart..."
"pretty stupid..."
"Fucking asshole..get up and finish the job..."
"Not real...wake up..."
"Oh my god it huuuuuuuuuurts....."
"Hihihi..."
If you do not react further, the cops carry you inside the house and throw you roughly at the couch before leaving without a further word...
